Ph.D. program in Microbiology shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned, a part-time doctorate-level course offered by Usha Martin University, Ranchi.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Masters's Degree from any Recognized University or Equivalent Institution in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy layer)/ Differently-Abled and such other categories, relaxation as per the decision of the UGC & Govt. of India will be accorded.

Admission Details

Candidates who have already passed UGC (JRF) Examinations/ NET/ SET/ SLET or have an M. Phil degree can directly appear for an interview.
