World Wide Web Consortium or WWWC is an international standard organisation for World Wide Web (www). Its main motive is to lead the web to its full potential and ensure its development. It aims to develop various protocols to ensure the web’s growth. It consists of organisations that provide full-time work for the staff to ensure web development. It consists of 459 staff members, and its headquarters are in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States.
It was established in October 1994 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with support from DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) and CERN (A European organisation for nuclear research)
