First World War

World War II was a global conflict that started in 1939 and ended in 1945. This causes massive destruction for 100 million people in over 30 countries. World War II began exactly on September 3, 1939, after Hitler’s armies conquered Poland. Afterward, this war was fought between the Central Power, which consists of Japan, Italy, and Germany, and the Allied Power, which consists of the United States, the Soviet Union, France, Britain, and the Commonwealth countries. The war ended with the atomic bomb attack in Japan on Hiroshima on August 6, followed by another atomic bomb attack on Nagasaki on August 9. This led Japan to surrender, which they did on August 14, 1945.
