SRCASW Delhi Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a well-maintained Hostel with a capacity of 110 residents on sharing basis. The hostel has a First Aid Room with all basic medicines, BP machine, weighing machine and nebulizer. Hostel residents interested in sports may avail the sports facilities of the college during the timings as permitted by the warden. Each resident is provided with a bed, one built-in wardrobe / almira, one study table, a chair, and a bookshelf. Residents are required to bring their own mattress, pillow cover, quilt, blanket, bed linen, towel, bucket, coffee mug, glass, spoon, thermos flask, torch, hot water bottle, thermometer, lock and key, duster and utensils, etc. The hostel has Laundry Room, Pantry, Wash Rooms, Wi-Fi Connection, Security, Mess, and Mosquito/Insect Control. It has Visitors’ Room and students’ common room equipped with recreational facilities such as television, carrom board, chess, etc.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The College library has more than 20000 printed books and approx. 1,35,000 e-books, 11 printed journals and many scientific encyclopedia and periodicals covering all aspect of fundamental science, such as Electronics, Instrumentation, Food Technology, Computers Sciences, Psychology, Management, Microbiology, Psychology, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics etc. The library subscribes to a large number of Electronics Resources through UGC-Infonet,DULIS Electronic Journal and NLIST of Inflibnet, Its includes 11 Online Databases on Reference & Citation Sources, 7 online Databases on Bibliographic Sources, 2 Online Databases on Citation Analysis Resources, 5 online Databases on Financial and Statistical Sources, Single databases on Doctoral Theses and 77 online Databases on Full Text Sources. This includes around 49270+ ejournals available.

The college has huge area of open ground with lush green gardens along with area for sports activities. The students and staff use open grounds for various sports activities like kho-kho , parade, atheletics, volleyball etc.

Each floor in the block consists of ICT enabled Seminar Room and four Lecture Theatres.

The college has a hygienic canteen to provide meals on reasonable prices. It serves a variety of food, snacks as well as soft drinks. Its quality and hygiene are regularly monitored.

The college has a multi-purpose centrally air conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 500 students. A spacious stage, projector, state-of-art light and sound arrangements makes it the perfect venue for hosting various intra and inter-college events.

At SRACSW we have strong relation and affinity with our alumnae. Every alternate year, alumnae meet is organized to enable present batch of students to interact with their alumnae. This also keeps alive the bond between teachers and students. There is an alumni organizing committee which works for this event called BLEND. The name of event was kept keeping in mind signifying blending of present and previous batches. The alumni, who are presently working in the industry, interact with the students from time to time. A dedicated email-id (blend.rcaps@gmail.com) is used to keep in touch with alumni. Networking sites like face book are used where alumnae groups are made and all meet at one platform and share views and experiences.

Our Campus is Wi-Fi enabled with smart classroom equipped with projection facilities and interactive monitors to make the classes most effective for all students with varied power of understanding and learning.

In the present library with three WiFi computer laboratories consisting of 80 computers.
