Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering (AMSCE) has been set up in 2000 located at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. AICTE recognised college affiliated to Anna University Chennai offering various undergraduate engineering courses. AMSCE has a total area of 10.88 acres and total students enrolled were 1207 whereas the faculty strength is of 100. The college teaches one degree program, consisting of 9 courses, in fields of engineering. AMSCE has sought accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to produce quality education. The student enrollment at AMSCE stands at 89% of male students and 11% female students, therefore carefully balancing its diversity.

AMSCE offers a number of resources for students to improve their academicperformance. Boys and girls hostels are provided that support high discipline standards with well- maintained facilities and security. A health centre provides first aid and out-patient services in case of illnesses to students. The college has a gym facility for athletic activities and the Central Library for academic interaction with its collection and Open Access System. As with its original campus, AMSCE has spacious classrooms, well equipped laboratories, large football fields, cricket nets, basketball court, well equipped computer laboratories, canteen, and auditorium with stage. Availability of transport services, an effective and efficient fleet service, fully equipped departmental laboratories add to the creation of a balanced learning environment.

The institute presently provides total of 9 full time undergraduate engineering courses all under the B.E. & B.Tech schemes. These courses cover many areas of specialization such as Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The total approved student intake for all the courses is 360, which shows a potential of nurturing a number of engineering students every year.

TNEA is the admission gateway to the AMSCE since they barely offer direct intakes to students. It is mandatory that all candidates who apply for admission must possess the following attributes in terms of mandatory requirements where necessary average math physical chemistry etc. Percentage criteria for AMSCE are different and AMSCE also take into consideration, vocational subjects.
