Abohar Polytechnic College started in 2007, is affiliated college situated in Abohar, Punjab. This technical institution recognized by Affidavit number 1199/Pt/expr/2009 approved from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) the institution offers diploma in various engineering stream. Located at Kala Tibba, Sito Road the college has 349 students enrolled and 18 members in the faculty. Abohar Polytechnic College offers four diploma courses are Full Time Diploma courses of study, each of duration three years in the specialization fields of Civil Engineering ,Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Concerning creativity environment, the college is duty bound to ensure that its students embrace a favorable environment for learning. The school is equipped with numerous amenities it claims it has for the social and academic concerns of students. It operates as information resource center, where students acquire additional information to that which is provided in class. Adequate laboratory facility for each department enables the student hands-on training, a prime requisite for technical knowledge. For those who are interested in sports the college provides different fields in sport as follows; The institution also avails good technological development to ensure the students are up-to Standard in cases with current industries. The post offers students and staffs meal services in a cafeteria and as a result create a sense of cohesion among the learners.

In total, Abohar Polytechnic College has four diploma courses and all the courses are only for full time. The capacity of the college to admit its students is 150 in all the courses offered by the college. The Diploma in Electrical Engineering takes the largest number of students with 60 students while the Civil Engineering and Computer Science Engineering and Mechanical Engineering have 30 students each. These programs have developed to ensure students achieve adequate knowledge in their various fields as they ready themselves for careers in the engineering industry.
