Acharya Deshbhushan Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital located in Belagavi was set up in 2002 and the college introduced education system and medical facility of Ayurveda. Situated at shamanewadi, Belgaum, Karnataka, this affiliated college has got the approval from central council for Indian medicine. The institute was established on a campus that covers an area of 10 acres with provision of a Co-Education. Southwest is a small college that has in its current enrolment of 268 students and 34 faculty members, which gives it a concentrated environment for learning. The institution provides 4 courses toward 3 degrees in the faculty of Ayurveda such as BAMS, MS Shalakya Tantra, MD Kayachikitsa, and MD Rachana Shareer.
In addition to the line programmes, Acharya Deshbhushan Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital has assorted amenities devoted to the learning and development of students and their health. The Acharya Deshbhushan Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital selects most of its students through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for the BAMS course. This is an important examination for persons who wish to be part of Ayurveda at a national level. Admissions but the applicants may find the NEET examination dates and the counselling schedules meaningful. This learning institution has more than education aspect because it also has a 120-bed hospital facility to afford students practical Astral exposure on treatments using the Ayurvedic system.
