Acharya Ramendra Sundar Primary Teachers' Training Institute, Birbhum, West Bengal, is one of the institutions purely imparting education and training to teachers. This affiliated college was established in 2008 and started more than ten years ago grooming future teachers. The institution with NCTE approval offers two regular courses, B.Ed and D.El.Ed. These are full-time courses: a B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) and a D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education), running for two years each. The intake is also balanced, with only 50 seats assigned to each, thereby making 100 seats annually. This helps the center to give better, quality education and personal attention in the field of teaching.

Admission to Acharya Ramendra Sundar Primary Teacher's Training Institute is merit-based, based on the marks secured in the qualifying and/or entrance examination. It follows admission policies prescribed by the state government of West Bengal or the affiliated university. The candidates are admitted to the D.El.Ed course on the basis of their performance in the qualifying examination or through a selection process as per guideline of the state government. The merit-based admission into the B.Ed. course is also based on policies drawn in accordance with the state government and the university, in accordance with the marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination.
