AIMSR Indore: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Acropolis Institute of Management Studies and Research (AIMSR) was set up is 2008 and is one of the foremost educational units in Indore- Madhya Pradesh. This is a co-educational college which is an autonomous college under the umbrella of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore and having courses of humanities, science, commerce & management, computer applications, bca, bba, mba, msc IT etc. AIMSR currently occupies a 6.83-acre campus and has a total student enrolment of 1,234; 611 male and 623 female students. It imparts 15 courses in 9 degrees, in the field of management, commerce, computer applications and sciences. Probably because of this, the student to faculty ratio is favourable, with 37 faculty members available at the AIMSR.

In order to support the learning process of its students, Acropolis Institute of Management Studies and Research has developed various learning amenities. It has various facilities to help the students get all the things that they need in their learning process. The institute has a modern stocked library database with provision for membership subscription of electronic books for the use of faculty and students regardless of their course of study. Modern practical laboratories containing up-to-date equipment are provided for the practical training of engineering and computer science students. 

The campus possesses well developed IT facilities – Wi-Fi and 17 Mbps leased line internet to provide sufficient opportunities for usage to students. In relation to physical health, AIMSR provides sports facilities to enhance the aspect of physical health support and team pull. The institute also houses a centrally air-conditioned auditorium with a capacity of more than 250 that is used for academic activities and other lectures, cultural programmes and so on. A clean and hygienic cafeteria, a on-campus health centre with basic first aid facility, affiliation with secure girls hostels add to the students convenience and security.

AIMSR offers 15 courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The institute provides 13 undergraduate programmes and 2 postgraduate programmes, all offered in full-time mode. The total student intake across all courses is 1,190. Some of the popular courses include BBA, B.Com (Hons), BCA, and various B.Sc programmes in fields like Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. At the postgraduate level, AIMSR offers M.Com and M.Sc Computer Science.

At AIMSR admission is mainly entrance-based and the Entrance test comprises marks in the last examination conducted. For offering under graduate programmes, the Institute takes the principles of first come first served and there is fresh admission by College Level Counselling (CLC). For example, B.Sc Microbiology provides grade preferences on the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination. The ratio of the students of AIMSR is 98% from within the state and 2% from other state and the institution also encourages diversity in students. On the matter of sex disaggregation, at the undergraduate level, the institute has enrolled 50% male and 50% female students.
