ACE Angul: Admission 2025, Courses, Fees, Cutoff, Placements, Ranking

Adarsha College of Engineering, Angul (ACE Angul) is an autonomous college with a vast number of technical and engineering courses. The college has a well-established admission process for admitting bright and deserving students in its different undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Admission at ACE Angul usually commences from May-June for the start of new academic sessions during August-September. Admission is provided by the institute in terms of national entrance examinations and state-level entrance tests, based on the course, respectively. Admissions at UG courses take place through the scores obtained at JEE Main or Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE), whereas PG courses take into account marks at GATE or scores in OJEE PGAT.

For B.Tech courses, the minimum qualification is passing 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects. A minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the qualifying exam is required for most courses. Postgraduate candidates should have a bachelor's degree in the concerned discipline from a recognized university.

Application Process

The application procedure of ACE Angul differs based on different programs:

For B.Tech courses:

1. Pass JEE Main or OJEE exam.
2. Become registered in the respective counseling procedure (JoSAA for JEE Main or OJEE counseling).
3. Complete the application form in the official counseling website.
4. Pay required application fee.
5. Select ACE Angul and desired courses in the counseling procedure.
6. On receipt of allotment of a seat, report at the college for document verification and fee payment.

For M.Tech programs:

1. Secure GATE examination or OJEE PGAT.
2. Get registered in the concerned counseling process.
3. Fill in the application form at the counseling center.
4. Pay the application fees.
5. Go through the counseling process and select ACE Angul in the event of selection.
6. Upon selection, go through the admission procedures of the institute.

For Diploma courses:

1. Submit by the state-level diploma entry exam or as instructed by the process declared by the state technical education board.
2. Go through the counseling process.
3. If seating in ACE Angul is allotted, undergo admission process in the institute.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: ACE Angul offers 8 B.Tech programs such as Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Metallurgical Engineering. Admission based on JEE Main or OJEE rank after counseling. Lateral entry admission facility is also present in the college for diploma and B.Sc. degree holders based on the OJEE lateral entry test.

M.Tech: 4 M.Tech programs are offered by the institute namely Environmental Science and Engineering, Production Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. Admission is generally based on GATE score or Odisha JEE Post Graduate Aptitude Test (PGAT) for candidates not qualified through GATE.

Diploma: ACE Angul provides 6 Diploma programs such as Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Admission to diploma courses is generally through state-level entrance exams or on the basis of merit in the entrance exam.
