Aditya College of Education, Kakinada: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Aditya College of Education, Kakinada, was started in the year 2007 and is an affiliated college in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. This NCTE-approved institution is a teacher education institution. Currently, with an intake of 28 students and an academic faculty core of 15, the college is housed within a squeezed compact 1.99-acre campus. Aditya College of Education has only one degree program—an undergraduate two-year residential course known as the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). As a college focused on teacher education, it can be said that it serves a regional niche in the broader educational habitat. 

The college has a very large number of facilities which help in developing the learning process of the student. The library, which acts as the knowledge hub of the college, is well-stocked with books. There are departmental laboratories to help students get practical experience. Other facilities include an auditorium for events and seminars, a cafeteria, a health centre with first aid facilities, sports facilities including a gym, etc. It also has very good IT infrastructure to meet modern-day educational requirements. A guest house is also given for visiting faculty and family members of the students, which speaks for the hospitality of the institution. 

The B.Ed. course forms the bedrock for all other academic courses being offered by Aditya College of Education. This is a full-time course with an approved intake of 100 seats, testifying to the potential of the institution to groom a large number of future teachers. This is a program set out to equip students with skills and knowledge needed towards having a suitable teaching career. By offering only the one program, the current focus of the college is narrowed down to this; hence, it provides specialized training in the education field. 

The admission process to Aditya College of Education is merit-based, considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The admission policy of the college is in tune with the State Government of Andhra Pradesh and the rules prescribed by the affiliated University. At the time of admission, students have to keep in mind that the particular selection procedure may differ in accordance with the current orders issued by the government and the university.
