Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering is a full-time four-year duration undergraduate course offered by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Eligibility Criteria

A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as Major subjects, or any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.

Admission Details

Admission based on JEE Mains & AUCET Examination.

Admissions under Convenor's Quota (A- Category)---70% of intake in each branch:

All the eligible applicants for admission into the First Year shall have to qualify in the EAMCET Examination conducted by the Govt. of AP. The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the Entrance Examination keeping in view the rules in force regarding the reservations of seats of various categories of candidates. The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the AP Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order 1974 as amended from time to time.

Admissions under Management Quota (B- Category)----30% of intake in each branch:

B- Category seats are filled by the Management of the college following the guidelines stipulated by APSCHE, Guntur.

B.Tech Programmes (Three Year Programmes for Diploma/B.Sc Holders)

Of the sanctioned intake in a branch of engineering, 10% of seats as supernumerary seats are allotted to Diploma and B.Sc holders for admission into II Year B.Tech directly. Admissions into II Year B.Tech through lateral entry for Diploma and B.Sc Holders are conducted by The Convener, ECET. Admissions through web counselling are based on the rank obtained by the candidates in ECET keeping in view the rules in force regarding the reservations of seats of various categories of candidates There are no B – B-Category (Management Quota) Seats for lateral entry into II Year B.Tech

College Infrastructure

Facilities in college are very nice, very flexible and easy to adopt in that environment. Also, when coming to a hostel, the food and facilities are good and the food is also good. Sports facilities are also available in college and easy to improve.

College Infrastructure

Facilities and infrastructure are good, but not like what we see in movies. But I think it is enough for engineering. College Wi-Fi is okay, Hostel facilities are available . Classrooms are decently good. The library recently shifted to a newly built building.

College Infrastructure

Library place a major role in academics as it provide our needs. Labs with essential instruments and kits are given in order to accommodate us with the experiential classes. We do have sports meet and so on to engage us with the physical fitness.
