In a rare achievement, Professor Naeem Ahmad Khan associated with the Department of Ilmul Advia, Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University has developed a first of it's kind medicine, which will cure diabetes by regenerating the primary function of beta islet cells to store and release insulin.

The unique Unani medicine, which will soon be in the clinical use as it has been passed by the Government of India's Institutional Ethical Committee will regenerate the natural process, in which the pancreas of diabetic patients will have their beta cells responding quickly to spikes in blood concentrations by secreting some of their stored insulin in natural ways.

Prof Naeem confirmed that the medicine has already been successfully tested on animals and soon it's clinical use will start.
