Ak PG College College of Arts and Agriculture, Shikohabad: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

AK PG College of Arts and Agriculture Shikohabad was established in 1947, is a highly prominent educational institution situated in UP, India. This affiliated college which is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) provides a wide range of programs in different faculties. It is spread across a 11.958 acre area and has a total students intake of 2060 and 65 faculty members. AK PG College offers 13 courses in 9 degrees offering specialization in arts, commerce, education and agriculture. This coupled with quality facilities availed for use show that the institution does have a quality education provision. 

The college boasts of a variety of amenities that are available to boost student’s experience. There are of course separate hostels for boys and girls in order to conveniently accommodate the out-station students. The library in a building is well equipped with lots of books as knowledge centre and every department has its own laboratory for practical knowledge. It equally has a facility to cater for occasions like seminars and performances, canteen for comfortable dining, and a health centre with emergency treatments. In as far as the physical health of students are concerned they are able to use a gym and other sporting facilities. Information Technology infrastructure in the institution provide the necessary social connectivity for students in the digital society. Amidst these are classrooms, offices, a gymnasium, a computer lab, an art room, a library, a chapel and a guest house for the visiting faculty and family members of students since the college is hospitable. 

Currently, the college offers a student 13courses which are all full time courses. On the academic level, the course offering covers the bachelor’s, master’s degrees and diploma. It is not clear on the total approved intake for all the courses, but for the B.P.Ed program it has NGO who is allowed to have up to 50 students intakes. But a variety of programs offered is aimed to satisfy any academic preferences and future occupation plans.

It should be mentioned that entrance exams could be mandatory for admission to B.Ed and B.P.Ed courses as these are the Professional Course again regulated by NCTE. The college also offer M.Ed and B.Sc Agriculture programs which will of course increase chances of higher learning for teacher training and in the field of agriculture.
