Akal College of Education for Women, Sangrur is an affiliated college that started in 2005 in Punjab state of India. This women-focused college is NAAC accredited and Recognised by NCTE-National Council for Teacher Education. It is based on a 6-acres land and as mentioned has two full time courses which has an overall student enrolment of 80. The institute is housed with a 9 membered faculty and offers postgraduate and teaching degrees in teaching and education. Candidates who meet the qualification requirements of marks obtained in the entrance examination/Qualifying examination will be given admission in Akal College of Education for Women. The existing admission policy of the college is as per the norms set by the state government, UT administration and the affiliated university and for B.ED programme the policy has been implemented. This usually requires a process of screening where an applicant is required to sit an entry exam in addition to previous performance in a previous academic year. Admission of students to the MA Education programme is also conducted similarly.
