Akshaya college of engineering and technology popularly known as ACET was started in the year of 2009, affiliated to Anna university chennai is situated in Coimbatore Tamil Nadu. The engineering courses offered in the institute are approved by AICTE at the level of under graduation, post graduation and doctoral levels. Located on a 15.27-acre campus, ACET has the total of 786 students taking a course; and 96 of them are faculty members. NAAC has accredited the college and it has 11 courses spread across 3 degrees. The students enrolled with the ACET are 91% undergraduate and 9% postgraduate students, out of which 76% students are male and 24% are female at UG level. The institute also has students from all over the state, with 95% and from other states, 5%.

Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology offers various avant-garde structures to the students for their academic and extra curricular activities. The campus has well-equipped laboratory that are manned by qualified instructors to support endorses practical orientation and experimentations. A large library provides books, periodicals, newspapers, journals and other many resources available through printing out and also over the internet and other supplementary services being inter library loans and employment awareness. The college enables easy access by providing internet connectivity; the college has secure internet in the whole college with Internet connection 24/7. The extracurricular activities include modern auditoriums, Gymnasium with expert trainers’ guidance, and indoor and outdoor games facilities. The campus also has safe and cosy facilities for the accommodation of both male and female students, the hostels.

This engineering college in Coimbatore provides various engineering courses of study with an intake of fresh admissions consisting of 9 Undergraduate courses (BE/B.Tech), 3 Postgraduate courses (ME/M.Tech) and Doctoral programmes. The institute offers only full time courses in engineering and has a total approved intake of 786 students. Some of the courses are BE in Computer Science and Engineering, which has 90 intake and BE in Electronics and Communication engineering with 60 intake and BE in Artificial Intelligence and Data science having same intake of 60. The college also has some unique programmes B.E in Mechanical Engineering & M.E in VLSI design, with Intakes of 30 & 18 respectively.

Intake to Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology is done both through the government as well as through the management. Admission to all undergraduate programmes or any other programmes following government quota is done through TNEA merit list which is compiled by the Anna University. Students are summoned to sessions for counseling based on merit, where classes and branches in the colleges are distributed. ACET awards merit and sports scholarship to students who excel academically or have great sports capabilities.
