Al Kabir Polytechnic, Jamshedpur was established in 1990 with the financial aid of the Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah and by the efforts of the Kabir Welfare Trust. The institute offers a three-year diploma course in six branches of engineering. The Al Kabir Polytechnic, Jamshedpur is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to the Jharkhand University of Technology, Ranchi (JUT). Since its inception, the institute has established itself as one of the best polytechnic colleges in Jharkhand.
