The Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities is a well-known autonomous institution located in Mumbai and dedicated to the field of speech and hearing disabilities. Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities is very serious about making available all kinds of facilities to its students for better learning and providing support to each learner throughout their educational career. The centrally air-conditioned library lies at the hub centre of such facilities, accommodating 60 students at a time. The Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities has in its wing a myriad of courses. At the undergraduate level, the courses include BASLP and B.Ed. Special Education (HI); at the postgraduate level, M.Ed. in Hearing Impairment and M.Sc. Audiology; and at the doctoral level, Ph.D. in Special Education and Audiology and Speech Language Pathology. These include some special diploma courses, too: Diploma in Indian Sign Language Interpreter and Postgraduate Diploma in Auditory Verbal Therapy. The admission process in Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities will be different for different courses. BASLP course admission done through an entrance examination conducted by the institute, and based on the NEET conducted nationally. M.Ed and MSc courses admit based on performance in the All India Entrance Exam conducted by AYJNISHD(D). In the case of the B.Ed Special Education, admission is based either on the entrance examination conducted by Osmania University or on merit, based on the marks obtained in the degree for optional subjects.
