About Alpha Arts and Science College, Chennai
The Alpha Arts and Science College in Porur, Chennai was founded in the academic year 1996-1997 and currently the college is a reckoned one across the region. This is an affiliated college under the Choudwar–Cuttack University with National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) status, it has many undergraduate and post graduate courses. Located in a 3.2-acre land, the AASC is one of the largest campuses with 2276 students, and 111 faculty members.
This college aims at availing quality facilities to help improve students’ learning process in the college. AASC provides the male and female students’ hostel facilities in a more conducive environment that is near the institution. Rich in knowledge acquisition the library boasts of 5517 titles, 16889 volumes and subscribes to 34 national and 3 international journals. They are also provided with DELNET & INFLIBNET mass numbers of digital resources available for students. The college has well equipped laboratories that are fitted with modern equipments, whereby the student can support classroom learning with practical experience.
In total, Alpha Arts and Science College has 16 courses comprising of undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The college offers 13 full time undergraduate programs and 3 full time post graduate programs. All programs are traditional mode, and there are currently no part time or distance learning opportunities.
