There is certainly a swift increase in the number of colleges offering teacher education for the past few years and one of the renowned teacher education college is Ambika College of Education, Mohali which was started in 2006 in Punjab, India. This affiliated college that is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) provides first rate learning facilities within a four acre land area. Forty eight students option for a college with an overall enrolment of 117 and the college employs 8 faculty members. Ambika College of Education focuses on training teachers, or teachers training and provides B.ED course to its students.

It provides a variety of learning amenities that make learning easier and comfortable for this college student. The ICT resource center has teaching gadgets such as; television, OHP, LCD Projector, and digital cameras so that students can learn with modern teaching tools. The science and mathematics resource center contain a school-standard laboratory complete with all the requisite apparatus to develop a scientific approach among would-be teachers. However, at present, Ambika College of Education is capable only of offering one full time course which is the B. Ed. programme. B.Ed course enables the students to become successful teachers, as well as providing them with requisite teaching abilities and information.

The admission process of Ambika College of Education is totally based on marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test. Admission policy of the college is laid by the State Government/U.T. Administration and the University with which it is affiliated.
