Amirtham College of Education, Kanchipuram: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Amirtham College of Education was started in the year 2007 located in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. This institution recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education ( NCTE) is dedicated to teacher education only. Occupying 0.75 acres of land, the college at the moment has 154 students enroled and 13 faculty members. Amirtham College of Education currently only has one programme that is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) which is a two-year full course.

The college has many assets that it can use to fulfill its educational mandate. Being one of the largest libraries in campus there are extensive materials for use by faculty and students in this library. Better laboratory facilities are provided for the student in each department, to facilitate the practical learning. There is a playground opportunity to exploit especially by the college users that embrace sporting personalities since there is ample space for both indoor and outdoor activities. An auditorium of an event and seminar which leads to creation of a healthy academic society. It also values information technology by providing a computer laboratory where students increase knowledge about modern technologies in learning processes.

Amirtham College of Education is dedicated to its B.Ed programme only while the number of sanctioned students for the programme is one hundred. This particular approach of training enables the institution to focus its efforts and knowledge in the development of qualified teachers.

Amirtham College of Education follows the procedures of admission as per the policy mention in state government/Union Territory administration and the affiliated University. Selection is merit based and depends on the percentages obtained in the qualifying/corresponding/entrance examination. The college may also set other screening method as may be applicable from time to time in accordance with the existing policy.
