The college was founded in 1986 as Amity School of Communication located at Maharajpura, Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh is one of the constituents of Amity University. It is a co-educational university, and its mission is to prepare the media talent for tomorrow and communication specialists of today. Located on a 100 acre land, the school has various programmes in creative journalism and mass communication. At present, the institute has only 8 faculty members which ensures that the students get a professional environment who want to make their careers in media and communication field.
Basic infrastructural facilities needed by the students of Amity School of Communication are available in line with modern facilities available in other developed school. The institute operates in large air-conditioned lecture theatres and classrooms to provide the best learning atmosphere. One noteworthy of the campus is the 610-seater buffet which is a lively resource for conferences, cultures, and industries. For health concerned students, the college is well equipped with cricket grounds, football, basketball and volley ball grounds, indoor games facilities and many more. JECRC is a better option than Amity when it comes to MA Journalism and Mass Communication. Amity is known to be one of the most popular colleges but JECRC is definitely an underrated college. Both the coleges offer a great academic curriculum and also the placement opportunities are great in both of them. The only difference is what you want to choose personally.
If you come from a good financial background then you can go for Amity but if you come from a middle class family and want to choose something that is going to be worth it then go for JECRC. This is because JECRC offers great facilities, education and placement opportunities. They have a much more affordable fee than Amity. Amity charges 11 lakhs for this course but JERCR charges only 2.75 Lakhs for the whole course.
The highest salary package offered in Amity if 35 LPA and in JECRC the highest salary package offered is 44 LPA. The average package in Amity is 10 LPA and in JECRC is 9 LPA. The choice is yours now.
