This is actually a teacher-training college located in Kunichi Village, Tirupattur, of Tamil Nadu that was founded in 2007. This is a co-educational college for both sexes and it occupies 6 and half acre land of the Institution that prepares future educators. Is prompted by the requisites of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Amrita College of Education functions in the affiliated college conscience to deliver quality education. With 104 students and 14 teaching staff, Passwell college has an ideal student teaching ratio which ensures that the college provides competent and personalised teaching.

Amrita College of Education has at the moment only one main course that it provides to its students and that is Bachelor of Education (B.ED). This is a two-year, full time course aims at producing professional teachers for the teaching service. The college has an approved capacity of one hundred students in this programme, which show its keenness in ensuring quality delivery of education as it can accommodate as many applicants as possible especially in cases of many intending teachers.

The admission policy at Amrita College of Education utilises the merit system as per rules and regulation of the state government/UT and the affiliated university norms.
