Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amritapuri-2004 is recognised institute which is committed to providing education and research in the field of Ayurveda. Established in 2003, this college functions under Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and is placed in Kollam, Kerala having 25 acre campus. It is a CCIM recognised institute which offers a wide programme in Ayurvedic science. The school has 58-faculty members, and offers a full programme to the students interested in Ayurveda specialisation. The institute provides 10 courses at 3 levels of degrees to undergraduate as well as postgraduate in this holistic healing science.
The Amrita School of Ayurveda has available numerous facilities that are convenient for the students of the school. The college library also becomes a wonderful source to obtain knowledge that is helpful for any course, especially with the subject like Ayurveda. In order to promote and support students’ health at the Institute, all the amenities including first aid facilities are provided at the Health Centre of the Institute. There are 10 courses in the institute and all the programmes are full time in nature. The main focus is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) which has an approved admission capacity of sixty students. The following are the courses provided by institute at post graduate level MD/MS in various specialisations of Ayurveda. Educational programmes include MD in Ayurveda Samhita, Dravyaguna Vigyana, Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, Swasthavritta, Kayachikitsa and Panchakarma, MS in Prasuti Tantra and Streeroga, Shalakya Tantra and Shalya Tantra. All these postgraduate courses have an accredited admission capacity of four students except MD Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana which has six students.

The process of admission to the Amrita School of Ayurveda is merit based and comes with a set plan. For the BAMS programme admissions are through NEET ranking and eligibility only. Consequently, the admissions for the MD and MS programmes are through All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET).
