You may not get seat in Civil Engineering in Amrita Coimbatore with 28000 rank. The chances are very much less as the cut offs in Amrita Coimbatore are less than 15000 for every branch. You can try for Amrita Chennai and Amaravati Campuses and you may get the seat.
Dear aspirant,
It is quite hard to predict the exact situation as it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, the seat matrix and the number of students willing to take admission in the courses.
Looking at the previous year trends we can say that it is quite hard to get admission into Coimbatore campus .
You'll need a rank of 6 K to get into Coimbatore campus or if you belong to State quota you'll need a rank below 15 K.
It is quite hard to get into any campus of Amrita as well, usually the cutoff is around 20 K.
Please keep the other options open.

Hope this helps
Greetings
To start with the application for AEEE is closed for year 2022 as of 12-08-2022. So you can't apply for Amrita Coimbatore through AEEE as of now.
Now you can still apply through JEE score and with a percentile of 98.07 you have a really good chance of getting into Amrita Coimbatore. Although I would say that you can also get better colleges than Amrita. With such this percentile one can easily make into some of the mid tier NITs/IIITs. For more information on that you can refer

Hey aspirant
Congratulations for securing high score. Amritha university have 30% reserved seat for admission via jee mains .When we look into previous year pattern, yes with more than 97 percentile chances of getting admission in Amritha university for cse is high. You have a good chance of getting admission for cse. You also have a good chance of getting admission in other NITs and government colleges for above mark. Dear aspirant,
It is quite hard to predict the exact situation as it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, the preferences of the students and the number of students willing to take admission in the course.
CSE is one of the most preferred branch and hence it is quite competitive.
Looking at the previous year trends we can say that it is quite difficult to get CSE in Coimbatore campus with this rank. The closing rank for other states are usually around 2 K
Yet, your son has a good chance of getting CSE in Amritapuri or Bangalore campus in slab 1/ slab 2 as the cutoff is around 6 K for that.
According to alumni, Amritapuri campus is better for CSE as it has a lot of active clubs and offers more opportunities for the CSE students
For more details on cutoff please check the link below.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
Yes, you can definitely get a seat for cse branch in Amrita Coimbatore but there are more chances for it in slab 4 as the cut offs varies a bit depending upon certain conditions like choices filled by the candidates, number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and toughness level of the paper.
I would suggest you to keep other colleges like Bits Pilani, VIT vellore, SRM University, Manipal University, comedk colleges like M.S Ramaiah, BMS college of engineering, RV College of Engineering, BIT Bangalore as a back up. These are also among the good private colleges.
