Ananda Marga College, Anandanagar, was established in the year 1966 and is an affiliated college located in Purulia, West Bengal. With a spacious campus area of 33 acres, students here undertake a number of undergraduate programmes in arts and sciences. Total enrolment in the current year is 295 students, and the faculty strength stands at 17, offering a focused learning experience. Ananda Marga College offers 6 courses across 3 degrees. The college specialises in subjects such as Bengali, English, History, Geography and general BA and B.Sc. programmes. All these variegated courses and dedicated faculty are a testimony of the commitment of the institution toward high-quality education.

The infrastructural facilities include every possible amenity that can facilitate student life and pursuit of academic excellence. The campus is furnished with separate hostel facilities both for boys and girls, which comfort the students coming from different regions. A nicely designed library caters to the resourceful need of the students in their study circles. The college houses sports facilities for different sports activities which are vital to maintaining physical health and absorbing the idea of sportsmanship. Ananda Marga College is also equipped with good IT infrastructure that keeps up with the technological needs of the modern educational sphere. An On-Campus Auditorium supports the College for various Events and Seminars, which promotes an all-around learning environment. The College is well-equipped with departmental laboratories, which is very important for practical learning in all Science courses. A Health Centre, together with First Aid facilities, is also made available on Campus to ensure the health care of students.

Ananda Marga College has 6 full-time Undergraduate programmes. Honours and General in both Arts and Science. BA Bengali Honours has the largest intake and offers 60 seats; its history honours has 45 seats, geography honours has 30 seats, and lastly the English honours offers 28 seats.  All courses were designed for three years full time, where the students get proper knowledge about their fields.                                                                                                                         

The admission process in Ananda Marga College is largely merit-based, with a special system of selection for the honours courses. The application forms must be submitted, and the selections are made by the students on the basis of their academic performance in the qualifying examinations. For the honours programmes in Bengali, English, History, and Geography, the merit-based admission policy is adhered to strictly in the college. After declaration of the merit list, the selected candidates are required to complete their admission within the dates announced on the notice board by the college.
