The Anjalai Ammal Mahalingam Engineering College (AAMEC) was started in the year 1995 situated at Tiruvarur, Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college is approved by AICTE and accredited by NAAC located on a 65 acres of campus area. AAMEC currently provides 7 courses, with a student enrolment of 1,944 and a faculty of 110 members. The institute boasts a diverse student body of 1,453 undergraduates, with a 65:35 male to female ratio. Of them, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology are some of the specialisations offered at the university or organisation.

This section describes the kind of facility that Anjalai Ammal Mahalingam Engineering College offers to its students to improve on their learning experience. The Mess and Hostel facilities of the campus have separate hostels for boys and girls with a capacity of 200 boys and girls respectively with well furnished accommodation and round the clock power back up. A clinic with first aid kit addresses the general medical purposes and a fitness centre is provided for exercise. Currently College has a wide collection of books journals and digital material in its library which has installed autoLib software for complete automation. In addition to classrooms, a students’ sports complex including playing fields and courts, an indoor hall for gatherings and performances, and a cafeteria enhance campus living.

The institute provides a wide scope of engineering programmes for the undergraduate’s level. Every of them is full time. Out of the 7 courses offered, the majority of them is within the engineering field. The overall approved intake of students in all the courses is five hundred and seventy. Some of them are BE Computer Science and Engineering, BE Electronics and Communication Engineering and B.Tech Information Technology with an intake of 90students each. Other courses as BE Mechanical Engineering, BE Electronics Engineering, and BE Advanced Communications Technology have a total intake capacity of 60 in each course.

The admission of students to AAMEC programmes is conducted scientifically based on merit and any other factor that the institution considers relevant.
