Established in 1964, Ansar Arabic College is an affiliated college located in Valavannur, Malappuram district, Kerala, It is self-financed college that is recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) offering both conventional and contemporary education. With a total capacity of 305 students, the college’s student percentage is 88% for undergraduate and 12% for postgraduate students. Being a co-educational institute, the college provides eqaul opportunity to every with the percentage of female students being 68% for UG students and 79% for PG students. At present, Ansar Arabic College provides three courses for the community’s education purpose.

Ansar Arabic College has a variety of resources to meet the learners’ academic and physical needs. It also has a resource centre that is used to access information for learning. The modern communication technology allows the learners to have access to the latest technology in Informatics. Concerning physical health, there are sports facilities that would promote positive health among the students. Cultural and academic events and seminars are held in the college auditorium making the college a lively institution. The practical sessions such as the provision of the actual departmental laboratories provide practical exposure to the students while the active alumni association preserves good relations with past students hence providing avenues for practicing students to associate with.

At present, Ansar Arabic College provides three regular courses namely two undergraduate and one postgraduate courses. The total number of students that can be admitting for these courses on approval basis is one hundred. B.Com with Islamic Finance and BA Afzal Ul Ulama offers 40 seats to the students, while the MA Post Afzalul Ulama has only 20 seats available for students. 

Admission at Ansar Arabic College, Valavannur is  open for every student that wishes to join the college. The college takes academic performance in the previous qualifying exams into consideration.
