APJ Abdul Kalam School of Environmental Design is a relatively young School which was founded in 2016, and it is situated in Ernakulam, Kerala. APJ Abdul Kalam School of Environmental Design currently offers one full-time course: The B.Arch is an abbreviation for the Bachelor of Architecture programme. This is a five year programme. The programme has an approved intake capacity of 80 seats, which provide great opportunities for the candidates who aspire to become architects.
APJ Abdul Kalam School of Environmental Design follows the regular admission policy of any architectural college or school in India and is merit-based. The Council of Architecture conducts the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) which has to be passed by all students wishing to pursue a course in architecture. Further, entry scores from the Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM) are also considered within the institute. These entrance examination tests the intelligence as well as the relevant abilities that could be required of any student aspiring to be an architect.
