APJ Abdul Kalam School of Environmental Design, Ernakulam: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

APJ Abdul Kalam School of Environmental Design is a relatively young School which was founded in 2016, and it is situated in Ernakulam, Kerala. This college is specialized in the environmental design and architecture education. Located at Mekkadambu P.O, Kadathy, Muvatupuzha, the institute holds the approval of the Council of Architecture with regards to the quality of its educational services in the category of architecture. Currently the school has a faculty of 9 members, making the learning environment specific for a person who wants to be an architect. 

The Learning facilities availed by APJ Abdul Kalam School of Environmental Design to ensure students get the best learning experience includes. Apart from being a repository of various architectural references and literature resource the library remains an important student facility. All departments have laboratory facilities that give the students practical experience of the theory learnt in class. The campus has well developed IT infrastructure- faculty of architecture has all the tools and resources required for probable integration of modern technologies of architecture. The institute has provided transportation facilities for the students for their comfort. Modern sports facilities are provided on,which,in turn, reflects the camoufing or passing off of the facilities for education of the body as wel as mind. Recently, for instance, the institute has expanded its residential facilities in an incredible way. 

APJ Abdul Kalam School of Environmental Design currently offers one full-time course: The B.Arch is an abbreviation for the Bachelor of Architecture programme. This is a five year programme. The programme has an approved intake capacity of 80 seats, which provide great opportunities for the candidates who aspire to become architects. 

APJ Abdul Kalam School of Environmental Design follows the regular admission policy of any architectural college or school in India and is merit-based. The Council of Architecture conducts the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) which has to be passed by all students wishing to pursue a course in architecture. Further, entry scores from the Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM) are also considered within the institute. These entrance examination tests the intelligence as well as the relevant abilities that could be required of any student aspiring to be an architect.
