Apollo Engineering College Chennai was started in 2007 it’s an affiliated college is located in Chettipedu near Queens Land Poonamallee. Established in 1999, this AICTE recognised college provides engineering and management courses on its vast 4.59 acres campus. The Apollo Engineering College currently has an enrolment of 862 students and a faculty of 87 which make the college a favorable ground to make a successful academic background as well as the professional front. The college teaches 11 courses in 3 degree programmes and focuses on engineering and management.

Apollo Engineering College has a number of functional and technological equipments that support learning activities of its students. The college has modern laboratory facilities for practical training, car, a fully equipped library with updated resource support and latest IT facilities in order to update the students regarding new technologies. For the convenience of those who reside off campus accommodation, Apollo Engineering College has Hostel facilities for Boys and Girls separately. Students’ health care is also valued by the college as it provides its students with a health center with first aid, fitness center and sports facilities. To enhance the students extra curricular activities, the school provides a cafeteria, event and seminar center, and internet connection throughout the learning space. Also, transport facilities are offered by the college as part of its effort to make learning smooth for students and other staff.

The courses offered in Apollo Engineering College are eleven in all and some of them are undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Undergraduate programmes include seven BE degrees and the postgraduate programme consist of two ME specialisations and an MBA degree. All the courses are offered full-time because the college follows a passion for depth in its programmes, to produce competent professionals in the various fields. 

The Admission Policy of the Apollo Engineering College focuses on competitive and selection process. For the undergraduate engineering programmes, there was a norm of direct admission and hence the admission procedure was based on the TNEA counselling where student’s performance during their 12th standard Board examination was considered. TANCET scores are also considered by the college for MBA admission to its campuses in Chennai.
