Arasu College of Education for Women, Velayuthampalayam, established in 2007 is an affiliated college situated at Karur, Tamilnadu. Approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) this women’s college provides quality education on teaching. Located on a tree-line 7.5 acres of land, the college provides only one course, B. Ed, for a total of 200 students. Currently, the institution has 16 members in its faculty and is able to provide favourable student to teacher ratio. Arasu college of education for women is dedicated to nurture the future of the female education aspirants of the particular region.

To meet the needs of its students, Arasu College of Education for Women offers different sorts of amenities conducive to their learning and development. The advanced library is central to the provision of the college, and holds many textbooks, references, research journals, and magazines. The sources could be made available to the students at any time of the day, thus encouraging and promoting lifelong learning mind set among students. The college also has modern social facilities including enhanced IT, a computer laboratory installed with modern software application and free internet access. To promote practical lessons, the institution has provided special laboratory such as Science Laboratory, Language Laboratory, Psychological Laboratory and Educational Computer Laboratory for training and skill development in pertinent areas.

Arasu College of Education for Women trains students in a single course, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). This is a full-time qualification, delivered over two years and prepares students for a teaching profession. There is also the quota that has been approved for the college to offer one hundred seats for this programme in effort to cultivate quality education provisions that are more intimate than in large universities. 

Arasu College of Education for Women has been admitting students through merit, and taking into consideration their marks in the qualifying test/entrance test. The college adheres to the pattern of admission prescribed by the Tamil Nadu state government and the university to which the college is affiliated.
