Namakkal’s Arignar Anna Government Arts College started in 1968 and is affiliated, situated in Tamil Nadu, India. Affiliated to the University of Mysore, and NAAC accredited government institution providing a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in disciplines including business studies, computer applications, physical education and commerce. The college is located on a large 35.18 acre with a total student population of 2457 of which 2082 are undergraduates and 375 are postgraduate students. It still has total of 79 faculty members and hosts 59 courses in 9 different levels of degrees focusing on arts, science and Commerce.

Namakkal’s Arignar Anna Government Arts College provides for all the necessary amenities so as to facilitate the college learning of the various students. The main library was set in 1968-69 session MGT with nearly forty Thousand Text & Reference Books, 60 printed journals & Magazines and 9 leading newspapers. It also has good laboratory, sport centre, auditorium, and separate-hostels for boys and girls. IT infrastructure and cafeteria also have helped in creating good environment to paramount the academics.

At present Arignar Anna Government Arts College introduces its educational services in various courses- 12 M.Phil, and 16 Ph.D., courses. This way the college offers full course options for many classes, placing myself and other students in the position where we can choose between full-time and part-time learning.
