Established in 2008, the Army College of Medical Sciences(ACMS) is a medical college based in New Delhi. The foundation stone for the institute was laid by the Union Defence Minister Mr George Fernandes in 2004 and was later inaugurated by the then Union Defence Minister Mr AK Antony on 5th January 2009. The institute is private and functions under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society. It is also affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University New Delhi. No, only widows of former service members and wards of active duty members are eligible for admission to ACMS. So the wards of Ex Navy or Army officials can not take admission in ACMS.
