Arulmigu Meenakshi Amman College of Engineering was established in 1985, and it is located in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu As a well-known college for engineering education, it has started its journey to provide quality education among the students. This affiliated college recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi AICTE offers extensive courses in engineering and management. It is located in a large piece of land of 55.78 Acres to enhance provision of core facilities that support academic success and shapely character. The Arulmigu Meenakshi Amman College of Engineering will continue to build ideal learning environment for its students to improve their study outcomes. AMACE provide well furnished and spacious self contained hostels for boys and girls within the compound so as to facilitate comfortable accommodation. The college library is located separately in an independent two-storied building; offering large number of books, periodicals and all kinds of resource available in digital format for every stream. In the interest of students’ health, there is a health centre with first aid amenities and all manner of gymnasiums in the hostels. Also provided is modern laboratory, an auditorium for occasions and seminars, a canteen where clean food is served. Admissions to engineering programmes are mainly centralized through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), according to the students’ performance in a qualifying examination and the entrance test. It also employs TANCET for MBA and MCA post graduate admissions in the college. Arulmigu Meenakshi Amman College of Engineering (AMACE), Tiruvannamalai, a well-established institution with an array of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering and management, AMACE is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and possesses a strict admission process to find worthy candidates.
The admission process of AMACE is also generally synchronized with the Tamil Nadu academic calendar, and admission is usually conducted in months after the announcement of results of the qualifying examinations. Undergraduate engineering courses are generally admitted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) system, depending on students' performance in the entrance test and the qualifying examination.
Eligibility is course-wise. For the courses of undergraduate engineering, students are required to do their 10+2 in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics as compulsory subjects. Postgraduate candidates should possess a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.

For B.E. and B.Tech courses:
1. Pass 10+2 with compulsory subjects and stipulated marks.
2. Apply for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process.
3. Complete the TNEA application form and pay the suggested fee.
4. Go through the TNEA counseling process.
5. If allotted in AMACE, report to college for document verification and confirmation of admission.
For MBA and MCA courses:
1. Take the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET).
2. Apply to the centralized counseling process carried out by Anna University.
3. Submit the counseling application form and the fee as mandated.
4. Go through the counseling process based on TANCET ranks.
5. On allotment in AMACE, complete the admission procedures in the college.
For M.E. courses:
1. Pass GATE or the entrance exam conducted by Anna University.
2. Apply directly to AMACE or through centralized admission, if feasible.
3. Appear for counseling or interview, if organized by the college.
4. On selection, finalize the admission process by paying fee and producing documents.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.E. Courses: AMACE offers various B.E. courses such as Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, and Information Technology. The admissions for these B.E. courses are done through TNEA counseling. The college has a total strength of 270 seats for these B.E. courses with Mechanical Engineering having the highest intake of 90 seats.
B.Tech Courses: B.Tech courses are also offered by the college in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology. The admissions for B.E. courses are the same, done through TNEA. The intake is 30 seats in Chemical Engineering and 23 seats in Biotechnology.
MBA: The MBA course of AMACE has an intake of 80 seats. The admissions are on the basis of TANCET scores, and then counseling is done by Anna University.
MCA: With an intake of 60 seats, the MCA course also gives regard to TANCET scores while taking admissions, followed by the process of centralized counseling.
M.E. Courses: M.E. courses in Power Systems, Structural Engineering, Applied Electronics, and Computer Science and Engineering are offered by AMACE with small intakes of 9 to 18 seats. Admissions are on the basis of GATE scores or an individual entrance test run by Anna University.
