Arulmigu Palaniandavar Arts College for Women (APAC) was set up in 1970 and is an autonomous women’s college in Palani, Tamil Nadu. Apart from being a premier science college for women, the college is located in a vast 37-acre land and has been preparing young women for education for the past 50 years. Understanding the importance of quality education, the college is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). APAC with current student population of 2,088 contains a very diverse curriculum that consists of 26 courses offered in 9 degree programmes. The college employs a faculty strength of 43 earnest faculties which impart and guide the students. All students enrolled at APAC are female and these include 91% undergraduates alongside 9% postgraduates.

The Arulmigu Palaniandavar Arts College for Women  has adequate facilities required for academics in the present world standard. Library is extremely essentials in every college and has the ability to provide students with all the necessary details and knowledge they may needed, information technology facility keeps students updated with modern technologies in the society. The campus provides 9 state of art computerised science laboratories; 4 computer science laboratories; and a dedicated English language enhancement laboratory. In a bid to enhance the growth of the child, APAC offers sports amenities for improved performance in physical activities besides bookish knowledge. Mainly used for the events and seminars, the college auditorium adding to the active campus life on the occasions. Every building and classroom within the college has Internet connectivity to facilitate easy access to any digital learning information. APAC also provides medical facilities for their students with the facility of first aid with a special provision of affiliations with hospitals in the same vicinity for exigencies.

Currently the college has eighteen undergraduate programmes, seven postgraduate programmes and a Ph.D. programme in History. All the courses are on full-time basis, in an as an indication of APAC’s management commitment under intensive and quality full time programme.
