Arungarai Amman College of Arts and Science, Karur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Arungarai Amman College of Arts and Science was started in the year 2000 at Karur, a co–education college situated in Tamil Nadu, India. This affiliated college is equipped with 10 courses of different fields in 7 different degrees. In the academic year 2004/05, the total students in this college have been 176 and due to this student intake, the college maintains a small student-christ ratio. Located at Amman Nagar, Chinna Dharapuram it offers campus for higher educated people in Karur district. 

The college possess a number of amenities that could help to improve the learning process of students. The library which is managed by a professional librarian has a rich collection of books and has annual subscription to many national and international journals. The institution boasts of well equipped laboratories comprising of a physics laboratory, computer laboratory and a language laboratory that puts the students through. Special mention can be made of well-developed IT facilities which provide students with an up-to-date computer lab that includes 80 modern computers; a special attention is paid to the students of the IT, computer sciences and similar majors. For the convenience of the students the college has separate hostels for boys and girls with a seating capacity of 250 and 150 respectively. These hostels are provided with gym and have a common mess facility but had purely vegetarian power.

The Arungarai Amman College of Arts and Science currently offers 10 Bachelor’s degree courses as well as one postgraduate programme. Some of the widely built programmes are at Undergraduate level B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Sc with computer science, BA and at Postgraduate level M.Com, M.Sc computer science, M.Sc Mathematics. All courses are full-time courses, and these makes the student completing the course gain a full and proper understanding in the course he or she is undertaking.
