Arya College of Education, Hanumangarh started in the year 2007 is affiliated Dabri, Rajasthan. The institute is built over an area of 1 acre and is recognised under National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). With a focus on teacher education, the college offers two full-time degree programmes: B.Ed and BA. The institute offers education to a total of 187 students and is staffed by 16 faculties.
The college has commissioned numerous features to support the student’s needs to improve and complement the educational process. The conventional facility like books, journals, encyclopedias and other kinds of reading materials as well as the digital kind are available in abundance in the library to support the student’s learning needs. A technological resource in the ICT Centre with Language Learning facility include computers, internet connection and language learning hardware. In so far as the students’ physical health is concerned, there are provisions for sports and gym to aid them. It also has an indoor court for basketball, volleyball and tennis, and an outdoor amphitheater for any occasion or performance. Facilities for boys and girls are provided by the hostels and each hostel can accommodate 14 students, and facilities include Internet connection and TV. The college maintains student health with a first aid center and transportation services from Hisar to the college.
Arya College of Education offers two main courses: a two year B.ED programme and three years BA programme. The regular B.Ed programme which offers training to teachers and trainers has an approved intake capacity of 100. The BA programme which has a wider art focus will have 80 intakes. Both courses are conventional on-campus programs that aim to equip the students with all-round knowledge of their chosen fields of study.
The admission policies in Arya College of Education differ from one course offering to the other. For the B.Ed programme admissions are normally taken through the Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET) for the session concerned. It means that after passing this test, the candidate proves that he or she possesses the necessary qualities and knowledge demanded on the job with teaching.
