Asansol Girls College, Asansol, West Bengal was initiated in 1950. The college was established when there was no Higher Education centre only for women. Having a compact campus of only 5 acres, the college has gained approval from NAAC, proving that providing high-quality education is attainable. Comprising 54 faculties and 3,562 students, Asansol Girls College assures its students of an ideal learning environment benefitting there personal and professional growth.

Asansol Girls College has facilities that are well-equipped. Currently, the computerised library which acts as the knowledge hub, comprises over 30,946 copies of books, as well as 9 journals and 6 periodicals. The college provides hostel facilities to the students from distant places, Unit I (Old) and Unit II (New) are the two hostels. There are now 80 seats available in each hostel.
