Ashoka Center for Business and Computer Studies, Nashik: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Ashoka Centre for Business and Computer Studies (ACBCS) is an affiliated college launched in 2009 which is situated in Nashik, Maharashtra. This centre with a campus area of about 1.5 acres provides number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in business and computer science disciplines. This institution is a member of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council NAAC which verifies its provision of quality education ACBCS. The total number of students enrolled in the college is 792 with the teacher availability of 14, therefore the ration of students for teachers is good. This institute provides 5 courses in its 4 degrees; Computer Science, Business administration, and Commerce. 

Ashoka Centre for Business and Computer Studies consists of several colourful modern structures that can provide the students with comfortable learning environment. The college library acts as Knowledge Resource Centre containing more than 5,968 books, periodicals, references as well as research materials. Those resources include electronic information resources such as online databases and journals among others available to the students. The campus is established with an adequate and modern information technology system and fine laboratory facilities for practical sessions. In addition to sports, ACBCS offers students sports facility and gym for extra curricula activities and general body health. The college also has different hostels for the male and female students since it provides accommodation to students from different towns. 

The institute presently has a total of 5 courses out of which all are full time programme. These include four undergraduate courses: These are B.Sc Computer Science, BBA, BBA Computer Applications, B.Com and one PG course M.Sc Computer Applications. For all the courses the total approved intake is 390. Currently, the total number of students registered in ACBCS is 792, while 735 students undergoing undergraduate studies and 57 students undergoing postgraduate studies in the most recent academic year.

Presently, ACBCS, like every other affiliated institute, has laid down its admission guidelines in accordance to the norms of Savitribai Phule Pune University. As for the admission to the B.Sc Computer Science programme, the college operates the selection procedure and policies agreed with the university. Government laid rules are strictly followed for reservation and relaxation policies. As for the exam dates it is notify that they are not specified, however, the future applicant has to monitor the College’s web-site or call the admission office to get updated information about the admission application deadlines and entrance tests. ACBCS also has scholarship programmes; 70 undergraduate students and two postgraduate students received reimbursements in the academic year 2021/2022. The college currently has an officially registered Alumni Association that was formed in 2013 to help in developing link between current student and old students. This paper therefore finds that with all the general facilities, variety of courses taught and all rounded quality institute, Ashoka Centre for Business and Computer Studies remains relevant for students seeking higher education in business and computer studies in the nashik region.
