AWH Engineering College is an affiliated college located in Calicut, Kerala which broadly came into existence in the year of 2001. Being an AICTE recognized institution, this establishment has a magnificent sprawling campus of about 28 acres offering a wide variety of engineering courses. AWH Engineering College covers the student enrolment of 587 and faculty of 64 thus making it suitable place for technical student. The college has 10 of them: Undergraduate courses available in 3 levels and engineering subjects including computer science and engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering, post graduate programs being VLSI design and power electronics and structural engineering.

As part of its infrastructure the AWH Engineering College has a number of facilities that seeks to improve the learning of its students. An ETO recognized central computing center with 500 systems and LCD monitor facilitates the students ‘technical versatility. Indeed, the college library, boasting about 14, 000 volumes of technical books and a variety of national and international journals is a vital resource to the learner and the instructing staff. For those living in the university hostels, there are different hostels for male and female students, and welfare, message, communication and recreation are taken care. Sport lovers can also access the college playground equipment for football, cricket and volleyball besides a 200 meters track. The college also has well-equipped practical teaching laboratories, an event and seminar hall, an infirmary for health emergencies.

The AWH Engineering College includes within its curriculum 11 courses to suit any student’s needs. Engineering college offers 6 degree programmes in B.Tech, 4 degree programmes in M.Tech and one degree programme in MCA and all these programmes are of full time. The B.Tech courses intake are Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering & Civil Engineering. The criteria for admission in AWH Engineering College are merit, which are inline with the regulations set by the government such as commissions. For B.Tech programs admissions are taken as per the merit list issued by the Government Entrance Commission for merit quota and as per the rules and regulation instructed by government for management quota. M.Tech programs are 50% of the government reserved where admissions are taken through online portal/website – DTE. The remaining fifty percent comes under management quota where admissions are directly done by the college management following Standards XII marks. The MCA program also has end term qualification examination that a candidate is expected to undertake in any examination conducted by authority as may be stipulated by the university or AICTE or as may be recommended by the concerned government.
