ANJAC College: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College (ANJAC) which started in 1963 is a renowned college sited in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. The college stands at 63rd position in the NIRF 2024 ranking in Colleges category proving the fact of the college’s brilliance. Required by NAAC and approved by AICTE, ANJAC has several recognition and extends various Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. Stretching over 157 acres, the college has a total student enrolment of 5,594 students and has 236 faculties on its rolls. ANJAC has got 45 courses in ten degree, having specialisations in Sciences, Arts, Commerce & Management.

Facilities has been provided to students to improve their skills and standard of the Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College. It is an intellectual resource centre as it has books of 86,835, 90 journals and 45 magazines. However, it also has e-section which includes e-books, e-journal and other resources and associations like Inflibnet and Delnet. It has all the modem facilities including well-equipped laboratories, Gymnasium, sports grounds, computer facilities, cafeteria, and auditorium etc. They indicated that they had free internet access through Wi-Fi in the campus since the school is aware that students need internet connection in this era. The college also has arrangements of different hostels for boys as well as girls to foster out-station students with convenient and coping accommodation.

The area of concentration lists all the degrees it provides and shows that ANJAC has many types of programs fitting all kinds of interests and professions. The college offers 31 undergraduate degree programs, 14 master programs, and 8 doctoral programs. In total college offers 45 courses. Such are BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MCA and PhD in different fields of specialisation. 

The admission policy of ANJAC is merit based with admission rules under the reservation policy of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The admission process for the undergraduate programmes is centralised and the principal makes the admission based on merit. Children studying in a postgraduate course are offered some entrance test that takes place at the college campus; Campus interview is conducted for the candidates who qualify the test.
