Baba Banda Bahadur College of Education is one of the emerging teacher training colleges in the Punjab state of India which was set up in 2015. This affiliated college occupies a central area of 1.056 acres, and its main purpose is to prepare future educators. It is affiliated to NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) that gives the institute the power and responsibility to educate its students. The college takes an enrolment of 284 students and hire 18 teachers and this ensures that the college is small so that every student and teacher can grow personally and academically.

It also has state of the art facilities meant for supporting the college learning processes in the 21 st century. Every schooling for child’s facilities must have well-established library with a variety of text books, encyclopaedias, magazines and journals to nurture self study habits and research aptitude. These are some samples of utilising by the college ICT resource centre, ICT equipped with LCD projectors, video cameras, and audio visual. To the beginning teachers, the curriculum laboratory acts as a storehouse of practice teaching materials, lesson plan writing journals, and school curriculum documents. Language laboratory is used to help students develop their language proficiency; listening, speaking, reading and writing; an invaluable resource for prospective teachers.

Baba Banda Bahadur College of Education offers two full-time courses: a Bachelors in Education and Diploma for Elementary Education respectively. They are two years in duration and offer full preparation in educational theory as well as practical experience. 

The admission policy of Baba Banda Bahadur College of Education follows the policy set by two regulating bodies. To get admission for the B.Ed program, the rules and regulation framed by the NCTE and Punjabi University Patiala are followed. Likewise, the D.El.Ed program is admission policy that is as per the norms prescribed by the NCTE SCERT and government of Punjab.
