Baba Kundan Rural College of Education is a newborn college affiliated to Panjab University, was established in 2007 to emerge as a leading college of Punjab. This affiliated college for the education of the future’s educators is accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Affiliated with Guru Nanak Dev University, the college is located in an extensive 2 acres campus in Rishi Nagar that is right next to Sarpanch Colony in Kulliawal, Ludhiana. To enhance education quality the college offer one under graduate program; a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program.

This college boasts of very modern facilities that help in achieving all round development of the learners. The college has a well stacked library with over 11,015 books and 20 prescribed National journals and computers with internet connection for research activity. The institution has functional laboratories for practical goals such as Science Lab, Psychology Lab and Language Lab. The college also has particular concern for the health and fitness of its students through the gym, and other organised sports amenities for indoor and outdoor use. Facilities include table tennis, chess, carom, and other related equipment needed for play in hockey, volleyball, football and cricket.

Even at Baba Kundan Rural College of Education the B.Ed program  accommodating 100 students annually, has taken central focus among all its programs. This two-year full time course is formulated to produce effective and dedicated teachers.
