Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial College, Hooghly: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial College was founded in the year 2012 at Bansipur, Hooghly, West Bengal. This is an affiliated college, and it imparts its teacher education course because NCTE has approved this institution. The college, with a compact campus of 0.838 acres, has a total student strength of 160 and a faculty strength of 18 members.  

The institute has various facilities to support its students at large in their learning process. A well-equipped library with a reading room provides the students with a sufficient number of books to support their academic pursuits. The institution has expansive green play fields and different sporting equipment, thereby motivating physical activities and sports of the students. The IT setup in the institution ensures that students get to use modern technology in their studies. Male and female students can be provided with on-campus hostel facilities.

 It offers two prime courses related to teacher education at Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial College: the B.Ed program with a sanctioned intake of 100 students and the D.El.Ed program with an intake of 50 students. Both are regular courses spread over two years, full-time, and thereby prepare students for taking up careers in teaching as a vocation.

The admission process in Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial College is merit-based, considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or Entrance Examination.
