Babu Madhav Institute of Information Technology was established in the year 2015 and Surat is a constituent college of the Gujarat region. This newly established college at Maliba Campus has risen to bright heights in the very goal-oriented field of information technology education. BMIIT offers three pointed undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs with a focus only on Information Technology. The faculty strength is 22, providing personalized attention and quality education.

BMIIT feels justifiably proud of the numerous modern facilities it offers to its students for an improved learning experience. It has well-supplied, department-based laboratories that help students gain practical experience in the chosen field. Its excellent IT infrastructure, therefore, is fully supporting this technology-oriented curriculum very effectively. The college library acts as a knowledge base, which is surrounded by all sorts of resources that can help students in their academic pursuit. For the physically active students, BMIIT has sports facilities to help in keeping a balance between work and play. Wi-Fi connectivity across the campus makes life easier for students and staff. A health centre with first aid facilities is available on campus to take care of medical emergencies. Strong alumni connectivity is also provided through the networking initiatives of this institute, which creates a community to help the students even after their graduation.

In its various academic courses, BMIIT aids to the ever-growing demand for IT professionals. Three full-time courses the institute offers are: M.Sc Information Technology Integrated  (5-year program), B.Sc Information Technology (3-year program), and B.Sc Information Technology Honors (3-year program). The flagship course is the M.Sc Information Technology Integrated with a sanctioned intake of 180 seats, which itself speaks about the potential and capacity of the institute to groom thousands of IT professionals.
