Babu Singh Mahavidyalaya, Kannauj: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Babu Singh Mahavidyalaya is located on the sprawling three acre campus on GT Road, near the Ganeshwarnath Temple in the city of Chhibaramau in Kannauj District of Uttar Pradesh; a co-educational college started in 2007; affiliated institute recognised by NCTE. Babu Singh Mahavidyalaya has a very supportive educational learning experience for the students across all the disciplines, with a total enrolment of 508 students and faculty strength of 13 teachers. 

The college is endowed with various infrastructure facilities, which are essential in promoting learning as supported by the college. The facility is endowed with the library, which is well endowed, with a collection of over 3,225 books and reference materials, 6 subscriptions for periodicals, and journals. The library, which can accommodate 100 students, serves as a vital resource for both students and staff. For those inclined towards sports and fitness, the college offers sports facilities and a gym. To keep pace with technological advancements, Babu Singh Mahavidyalaya has invested in IT infrastructure, ensuring students have access to modern learning tools. It also has an auditorium for conducting programmes and seminars, laboratories that meet the NCTE standards, and a cafeteria for relaxing and rejuvenating. Babu Singh Mahavidyalaya offers a total of 12 courses in 7 degree programmes, with a basket ranging to a varied spectrum of academic interest catering to undergraduates and postgraduates. 

The institute provides a mixed range of full-time courses in Arts, Commerce, Science, and Education. Most noticeable among these is the B.Ed course which has an intake of 100 students approved and various Master's course programmes with subjects in varied choices like Botany, Zoology, Geography, and Home Science. The college also offers conventional undergraduate programmes in BA, B.Sc, and B.Com, with specialised disciplines along with it such as B.Lib.Sc for those interested in the discipline of library science. 

Admission Procedure The admission at B S M may vary from one course to the next. For the B.Ed course, the merit-based system considers marks scored in the final examination of the qualifying course and/or entrance examination. The admissions are governed by the policies of the State Government, U.T. Administration, and the affiliated university.
