Affiliated college in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, Baghmara College, Baghmara was set up in 1979. This is a co-educational institution which is recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and comprises a vast number of various undergraduate programmes. The college occupies an area of 11 acres and since the year 2015 the college has had a total of 4,260 students, 51% of which are male students and 49% of which are female students. With a faculty of 34 members it offers 18 courses spread over 6 degree programmes in arts, science and commerce streams.

The college has the greatest purposes of offering a complete system of learning to its students. It provide snumber of facilities for both academic and co curricular activities. Among the facilities that can be viewed as a plus and found on the campus there is a rather equipped library that will offer students a lot of different helpful educational materials. Thus, the college retains departmental laboratories for practical learning activities. Fans of sports activities can benefit from the college’s sports complexes ensuring health and unity among people. This institution also provided for students health with a compound housing health centre where students receive first aid. There is good IT awareness at Baghmara College because they have developed good IT requirements for ‘Modern Education’ needs. 

Baghmara College has 18 courses for the undergraduate, and all are having full time programme. This college main concentration is on Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) programmes, and within these fields of study there are various fields of speciality. 

The method of admission at Baghmara College is mostly centralised and a major criteria based where capable students have a chance to enrol themselves in respective courses of studies. It admits students for a variety of undergraduate programs for which students can begin B.A, B. Sc, B.Com, and their respective honours programmes.
