Baikunthi Devi Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Agra was established in 1967 with the motto of “Tamso ma Jyotirgamaya”, providing educational needs to the women of the Agra region. The college is also accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Baikunthi Devi Kanya Mahavidyalaya is an affiliated college of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra.
The college has been a recipient of State Merit Grant for 15 years. The special achievement of Baikunthi Devi Kanya Mahavidyalaya has been to take full advantage of the University Grants Commission in aid and full contribution to managing the committee. Baikunthi Devi college offers various Undergraduate (UG) courses in various disciplines such as Arts, Science, Fine Arts, Education, Commerce, BBA, and MA (Home Science, Economics).
Besides U.G courses there are four PG departments in the Faculty of Arts, two in the Faculty of Fine Arts and B.Ed and M.Ed in the Faculty of Education. Around 65 students are enrolled for the Ph.D. degree. Candidates can take admission to BDKMV UG and PG courses by satisfying the eligibility criteria. BDKMV provides admissions to courses based on the qualifying examination scores.
The final-year students need to fill out the placement opportunity form in online mode for placement assistance and support from the college. Baikunthi Devi Kanya Mahavidyalaya has a campus that is widespread and offers a library, hostel, IT Infrastructure, equipped wi-fi, classrooms, and cafeteria facilities for the development of their students.
