Bailey Baptist College, Wokha: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Bailey Baptist College, Wokha established in 1996 at Wokha in Nagaland is an affiliated college. This university has the relevant mandate for offering quality education in this area of education known as arts. Located on a large plot of area of 22 acres, there is a well-qualified environment that is competitive with academic environment. An aggregate admission of 35 students and teaching staff of 15 make it possible for the Bailey Baptist College to be closely monitored and controlled and hence a better student/teacher ratio. At the moment the college has only 4 undergraduate programmes and all these are full time courses in different aspects of arts.

Bailey Baptist College has several amenities aimed at improving the learning environment of the students in college. Most of these comforts include a spacious library containing a wide range of material pertinent to the community, national newspapers and some selected magazines and journals. The library also consists of another independent reading room to enable students to study in a particular quiet area. In an additional effort whereby the necessary steps are being made to computerise the library, it has improved on the present efficiency and performance. To cater for students with special needs along this line the college has got two hostels for boys and girls respectively and each can accommodate about 100 students. It provides comfort to people who arrive from other areas to ensure they find a comfortable place to live. There is also a fully furnished and equip auditorium of the campus for organising various programmes and seminars for the overall academic and cultural development of the campus. 

Bailey Baptist College in fact has a total of four courses in its portfolio and all are undergraduate programmes in arts but are all on full time basis. These courses include a general Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and three honours programmes: That is, BA English (Hons), BA Political Science (Hons), and BA Education (Hons). All of these programmes are created with the intention to ensure that students are given extensive understanding and training in a specific area of specialisation. 

Bailey Baptist College has ensured that the admission process it has put in place is easy to follow and fully open to the contender students. It is selected on the basis of the student’s performances of 10+2 or any equivalent examination.
