Balimela College of Science and Technology was started in the year 1981 It is an affiliated college situated at Nilandri Nagar of Balimela of Malkangiri district of Odisha. This institution occupies a 10-acre campus and provides a rather wide list of the programs for obtaining an undergraduate degree in arts and sciences. With 757 students in their enrolment and 25 numbers in the faculty, the college offers a good learning environment and individual development. It currently provides 12 courses in 4 degree programmes with courses offered in disciplines including Mathematics, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, Economics, History and Odia.

The college offers a variety of amenities that are meant to improve the student environment. The college also has a swimming pool which is an added advantage as students have extra fun in their past time. An auditorium is a hall where many important meetings and seminars are held as well as it contributes to the lively student life of the campus. Besides classrooms, there are fully equipped laboratories for practical’s, cafeteria facility, and parental association for a healthy interaction between the current and the ex-students.

Balimela College of Science and Technology has a total of 12 undergraduate degrees all of which are fully conventional programs. The program and courses are offered under BA and B.Sc in which many honors specializations can be taken. These course fields make it easy for the student to find their preferred area of training and education since there is none that is extremely limited.
